Waterfront Divers assist Dam engineers and operators
in underwater inspections of upstream and downstream
structures.

Waterfront Divers have made emergency repairs to broken sluice gates stem shafts and blocks and are able to make a video of underwater equipment even in low visibility to no visibility water. Our divers have completed a Dam Safety Course regarding TCEQ Title 30 Texas Administrative Code Chapter 299 Rules. We are competent to assist engineers in underwater inspections and video verification of dam components in a safe and reliable manner.
This service includes both internal and external inspections of water tanks and is conducted with tanks in service. These inspections will assess the structural integrity, value of protective coating, quality of water, and safety measures in accordance with the requirements of OSHA, TCEQ, and AWWA standards.
A full report will be composed of detailed descriptions of each tank as well as still photos of all components and a professional internal video.
All dive operations will meet and exceed all standards using the required equipment which includes a KMB 27 dive helmet, emergency bail out bottles, and chemical resistant dry suits all confined for use in potable water. Our commercial divers will ensure that they as well as all equipment entering the water will be disinfected using a chlorine solution that meets the standards of AWWA.
We will be using Outland Technologies digital video equipment with diver safe D.C.LED lighting system and DVD writer. This advanced equipment allows us to record an enhanced video improving lighting and clarity.
Upon completion of inspection we will provide the hard copy of the inspection along with the DVD as well as a copy of the inspection, still photos ,and video in a flash drive.
All of this will be prepared and handed to the operations manager on site.
Tank Cleaning
Maintaining a clean water tank will extend the life of the tank, save money from future repairs, cut down on the cost of chemicals used, and improve the quality of the water. This service includes a pre-cleaning video, post cleaning video, and our camera is mounted to the helmet during the cleaning so at any time your operations manager can view the job. We will remove all sediment and debris found with out stirring the tank and with the tank in service provided there are no underwater pumps in the tank in which case we will follow lock out/ ,tag /out procedures. We are a company that values our employees and we will not compromise safety in order to complete a job. All equipment used is confined to potable use only and is disinfected before entering the water. A cleaning report along with a DVD and a copy of both loaded to a flash drive will be handed to the operations manager on site.
